Automatic photograph retention and deletion

Automatic deletion is being validated with test orders and is not yet activated for customer photographs.

We privately store photographs while your order is processed, printed and mailed. Deletion is scheduled 30 days after carrier-confirmed delivery, or 30 days after the order is marked mailed when delivery is not confirmed. Daily automatic cleanup removes expired files; removal may occur after the exact expiry time.

Deletion is suspended for unresolved refunds, reprints, lost-mail claims or customer-support issues. These exceptions are flagged for administrator review; deletion resumes automatically after resolution. Original uploads and all stored edited, print-ready and temporary order copies are removed. Necessary business records remain: account, order number, recipient and facility where required, payments, shipping, tracking, statuses, dates and deletion confirmation. Photographs are not email attachments or retained in email logs.

Deletion removes files from active storage and customer and administrator account access. Lovable Cloud daily database backups and database exports do not include storage files (the photographs). Those daily backups are kept for roughly 14 days, that period is not configurable, and during that time they may contain order records such as photograph file names, but not the images. A configurable retention period for any other provider-maintained copies has not been confirmed; we do not claim those copies are immediately erased. We cannot erase previously downloaded, printed or externally saved files, or revoke already cached copies. An administrator can change retention periods; this page displays the configured periods.
